Year 5’s art topic for this term is to explore and improve our expertise in art and design techniques when printing and painting, in the context of exploring Pop Art. They are studying Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein – their lives, their art works and their impact on current design and graphics.

During each class workshop, the children explored popular logos and created their own design, ready for printing. Using tiles, vibrant coloured paints and rollers, everyone was able to create a stunning design that would not look out of place in a high-end gallery exhibition!
